Jam Session guitar forum and this whole website is all about guitar (and bass guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele...) -- the instruments and the guitarists who play them. It focuses on learning the guitar, playing it, fixing it, customizing it, and, yes, even building a guitar from scratch. Mostly, though, Jam Session is about its members. Over the years (and I mean over a decade plus) we've become an online home and family -- an ever expanding family, mind you, always welcoming new members into our embrace. Of course, family friendly rules do apply, and all memberships are manually approved to keep out ne'er- do wells and spammers.
By the way, here at Jam Session, we aren't focused on making money off our members. The guitar forum is completely free, and there's very little advertising on it -- maybe an occasional tile ad up in the header, but no pop-ups, no interstitial ads, no gimmicks to get you to click by mistake. It's all guitar-oriented and member-oriented discussion, most of it informational, with resident guitar experts willing to help with whatever question about guitar, recording equipment, guitar equipment, guitar playing, customizing, and fixing you might have. So strap on your guitar or bass, and come on in. We're family friendly. ...Oh, and there's also space for the keyboardist, pianist, lyricist, composer, drummer, and, yes, even the odd flutist. They're all here in the Jam Session guitar family.
